Alison Edwards is an English teacher at Prince of Wales Collegiate in St. John’s, NL. She teaches English 1201, English 2201, English 3201 and English 3202.
She has a love of literature, especially Young Adult Literature and can almost always be found with a book in her hand. She has worked for much of her career in the field of Learning Resources as a Teacher Librarian and has a passion for the integration of technology and choice in the classroom. She is also involved in Human Rights education and is one of the Newfoundland and Labrador coordinator of the new NL East Human Rights and the Holocaust program.
Alison has worked on government committees for courses such as Ethics and Philosophy/Ethics and Social Justice, as well as the Annotated Bibliographies for Junior High and High School English in Newfoundland and Labrador. Most recently she helped develop the Newfoundland and Labrador guide to developing Learning Commons in schools. Her book, ‘Top Ten Shocking Food Facts’, can be purchased through Scholastic. She has two more books coming out through Rubicon publishing.
In her spare time, Alison enjoys geocashing, breaking out and escaping from locked rooms, taking road trips with her family and browsing Chapters with a Chai Latte in hand.
